About me
Hi, my name is Christelle and I am the artist and owner of “Mindful Masterpieces”. My fascination with art and love for all things crafty started at a very young age. At school, right from kindy through to high school art was always my favourite subject. Even at a very young age, I realised the therapeutic benefits of art and loved the feelings of peace, joy and soul-connection I experienced while creating.
I did a Bachelor of Design Degree (Honours) when I left school and have had a varied career. I worked as a patternmaker and design room manager in the fashion industry and then spent many years working as an event manager & executive assistant in the corporate world. More recently I spent a couple of years working as a creative practitioner facilitating art workshops for a not-for-profit organisation. It was then when I rediscovered the mindfulness experienced while painting and creating, and how it helped me unwind and alleviate stress. That’s when I decided to start my own business called “Mindful Masterpieces” which runs art and craft classes for adults and children in my local community of Northern Rivers Region, NSW.
My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space to empower, inspire and connect individuals and my local community through mindful art workshops that facilitate expression and growth.
When I’m not busy preparing for and facilitating workshops you will find me at the beach or the lake, spending time with my husband and young daughter in the beautiful seaside village of Lennox Head.
